Today marks the ninth anniversary of the 9-11 hijackings. Clearly 9-11 was one of those “where were you when” events that come along maybe once or twice a decade. (For the record, I was driving to work when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. I found out about it via an email from [...]

This clearly took some time to put together. And let me tell you, it was time well spent. Kudos to TheCBVee for this amazing collection of Star Wars clips cut together in the style of the Magnum, P.I. title sequence. I think the Rick/Luke clips were my favorite part.

Doesn’t everyone water ski in a leather jacket out here? A few days ago the LA Times published an article by Fred Fox Jr., the writer of the infamous Happy Days episode wherein the character Arthur H. Fonzarelli, aka “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler), literally jumped a shark¹ while water skiing as part of a pissing [...]

Dorky, perhaps – but do you have a dance named after you? This needs no set-up. If you’ve seen more than two episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, then you’ve seen it. And enjoyed it, apparently, as this clip has more than 4.6 million views on YouTube. Enjoy the long weekend folks!

When I was ten years old, I went to see the movie Breakin’ with some of my friends at our local singleplex. That evening I had what can only be described as a religious experience. It was certainly transcendent. Who knew humans could move in this fashion? I went home that night determined to become [...]

On a class trip to New York City in 1991, a friend of mine gave me a cassette of Ace Frehley’s solo album to listen to, saying “I think you’ll like this.” A bit of an understatement, that was. The first song I listened to was ‘New York Groove’ and I was hooked before the [...]

Today’s retro dance clip comes to us via Friends, the mega-hit sitcom starring Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, and that gal that used to be married to Brad Pitt. Did you know that it was in the Nielsen Top 10 every year it was on? And it was in the [...]
