The Retronaut

After Adam West’s extreme slam-dancing yesterday, I think we should dial it back a little. Today we find ourselves in the quaint little logging town of Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks was my first exposure to David Lynch, and I was quickly hooked on its sublime weirdness.  Watching the first season again a couple of years ago I was just amazed that this ever got on network TV.  In 1990!  The quick shot of Killer BOB (Frank Silva) at the foot of Laura’s bed while Mrs. Palmer screams in terror is still fucking scary as hell.

Do not approach this man, he may try to catch you with his ‘death-bag.’

But this post is not about the creepy side of Twin Peaks – today we are all about the sexy side.  Twin Peaks had far and away the hottest chicks on TV, with Peggy Lipton, Madchen Amick, a pre-anorexia Lara Flynn Boyle, Heather Graham, Piper Laurie, Sheryl Lee as Laura Palmer, Sheryl Lee as Laura’s cousin Madeline, and on and on.  But my favorite will always be Sherilyn Fenn as Audrey Horne.

I can’t believe Cooper didn’t hit that.

She was rocking the retro look way before it was cool, and she knew how to ace a job interview. She is the star of our Tuesday clip, with her dreamy jukebox dance at Norma’s Double R Diner:
